PRO-CHOICE MED STUDENT TO SPEAK HERE MONDAY

The problems physicians and medical students face in order to perform legal abortions will be discussed at 7:30 p.m. Monday during a Pro-Choice Network general meeting in Unitarian Universalist Church, Elmwood Avenue and West Ferry Street.

Daphna Gelblum, a fourth-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh and an activist in the American Medical Student Association, will talk about training for medical students and the number of physicians nationwide who perform abortions.

Ms. Gelblum is coordinating a nationwide campaign to call attention to what she says is the lack of abortion techniques taught in obstetrical and gynecological training programs.
