A NEW AGE ON THE STAGE

Yanni and the Eagles don't have much in common musically, but both are major concert attractions and both have just announced shows in Buffalo and Toronto.

Yanni recently starred in a high-rated PBS televised concert at the Acropolis. An album of that concert is one of the fastest-selling records in the country and just entered Billboard's Top 10.

Yanni plays Shea's Buffalo Center on July 2 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster locations and the Shea's box office. The ticket prices range from $21.50 to $35.50.

The Eagles were one of the top rock acts of the 1970s and early '80s but then broke up about a decade ago. Now the band -- Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Don Felder, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit -- is back together for a reunion, which is turning into one of the hottest tours of the summer season.

The Eagles are playing Toronto's Exhibition Stadium on July 11. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster outlets, and charge orders will be accepted at (416) 870-8000. There is a limit of eight tickets per person and a wristband policy for ticket purchases will be in effect. Ticket prices have not been announced.
