A reception was given in Transit Valley Country Club after Mary B. Filsinger and Iain A. Gellatly were united in marriage during a ceremony Saturday at 4 p.m. in Christ the King Chapel at Canisius College. The Rev. Onofrio R. Smiroldo of St. Edmund Catholic Church heard the couple's exchange of vows.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Joseph S. DePaolo of East Amherst and John G. Filsinger of Tonawanda. Mr. DePaolo gave her in marriage to the son of Eileen Gellatly of Eggertsville and Ronald Gellatly of Berlin, Mass.
After traveling to the Florida Keys, the couple will be at home in Rochester, where the bridegroom is employed by Ingres as a senior technical support representative. He is a graduate of University at Buffalo and earned a master's degree in computer engineering from Syracuse University. The bride, a language arts teacher and assistant principal in St. Edmund School, earned bachelor's degrees from Canisius and Buffalo State colleges.
