CLINTON CHEERED FOR CUTTING REMARK

WEST POINT (Reuters) -- President Clinton, apparently still smarting from the uproar over his $200 haircut, told West Point graduates Saturday that he admired not only their discipline and achievements, but their close-cropped hair.

"I must say, I am impressed by your haircuts," said Clinton, the keynote speaker at the U.S. Military Academy's 1993 graduation ceremony.

The 1,003 graduates, including 86 women, cheered the president's remarks.
