Niagara Mohawk Power Corp.
Syracuse-based utility says it has asked the state Public Service Commission to allow it to offer discounts to some industrial customers in an effort to keep them from buying electricity from somewhere else. Firm says 50 of its biggest customers are considering such a move, which would cost the utility $105 million in revenue if all of them switched.
