President Clinton's approval rating has dropped sharply in the last month, and fewer than half of Americans approve of his job performance, according to two polls released Monday.
An ABC News poll found 46 percent said they approved of the president's overall job performance, and 48 percent said they disapproved. Six percent had no opinion.
In late April, 59 percent approved of Clinton's job performance, and 39 percent disapproved. A Cable News Network-USA Today poll said 45 percent of respondents disapprove of Clinton and 44 percent approve. It also said 59 percent disapprove of his handling of the economy.
