AEROBICS IMPLICATED IN DIZZINESS

High-impact aerobics can make people permanently dizzy. Dr. Michael Weintraub of New York Medical College says the repeated jumping can damage the inner-ear apparatus that controls the sense of balance.

His survey of 37 aerobics instructors found that five had dizziness and eight had ringing in the ear, Weintraub writes in the New England Journal of Medicine.
