Services for Carl H. Vinson, 71, of Kissimmee, Fla., a former longtime resident and retired service technician for the Harrison Division of General Motors Corp., will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St.
Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
He died Saturday (Dec. 29, 1990) in North Fulton Regional Hospital, Roswell, Ga. He was stricken while visiting a daughter for the holidays.
A World War II Navy veteran, he was a past commander of Post 8120, Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Poinciana, Fla., and also was a member of Post 2535, Veterans of Foreign Wars, here.
He had been a longtime treasurer of the Liberal Party in Niagara County and was a candidate for the U.S. Senate in 1960.
Surviving are his wife, Carmella Scott Vinson; two sons, Carl and Michael; three daughters, Carol Bowen of Gasport, Charlene Bevilacqua of Alpharetta, Ga., and Cheryl Lee of Middleport, and eight grandchildren.
