Fisher Big Wheel stores in Bradford and Salamanca, N.Y., will remain open despite the announced closing last week of 11 of the chain's 100 stores.
Pamela Miller, assistant manager of the Bradford store, confirmed Sunday that the store, which employs 39 people, will stay open. She noted sales were up 25 percent from last year.
Joseph Giblin, manager of the Salamanca outlet, also confirmed that store, which employs 50, will remain open.
Fisher Big Wheel Inc. is based in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pa.
