Private services are scheduled for Monday for William L. Weeks, 88, of Clarence Center, who died Saturday (Dec. 29, 1990) after a long illness.
Weeks owned and operated Weeks Nursery and Greenhouses in Clarence Center, which he established 48 years ago. He built it into one of the largest retailers of geraniums and annuals in Western New York.
Weeks worked for National Gypsum for 25 years, during which time he began to propagate evergreens as a hobby. He left the company to devote his energies to the nursery business. He was a lifelong resident of Clarence Center.
He is survived by two sons, William H. of Clarence and Largo, Fla., and Jack of Clarence Center; a daughter, Catherine Hartung of Williamsville; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
