Brookfield Country Club will have a New Year's Eve party in the clubhouse starting with cocktails at 7 p.m. preceding dinner and dancing to the music of the Gus Broncato orchestra. The clubhouse will closed during the first three weeks in January reopening Jan. 23.

Patricia E. Russ has been elected president of the Stephens Collage Club of Western New York. Dorothy Chute-Smith has been elected secretary and treasurer.

Zonta Club of Kenmore will have a dinner and meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Royal Knight Restaurant. Mary Lorich and Margaret Schack will be hostesses. A progress report will be given on the club's major fund-raising event to be held in April.

Detective Joseph Di Matteo of the Town of Tonawanda Police Department will speak on "Protecting Yourselves and Your Home" after a dinner for Buffalo Charter Chapter of American Business Women's Association Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Protocol Restaurant. A white elephant sale will be held after the meeting.

Flower arrangements and crafts that will be sold in the gift shop of DeGraff Memorial Hospital will be made at a meeting of Wurlitzer Park Garden Club at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 7 in McLaughlin Center of the hospital. Marjorie Heft and Beth Hodgson will be hostesses.

Library floral arrangements for the month will be made by Mary Lou Raymondo and Madeleine Waters. The board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22 in the home of Elaine Zbieskowski, president of the club.
