Mobster movies ruled nominations Thursday for the annual Golden Globe awards with "The Godfather Part III" drawing seven mentions and "GoodFellas" collecting five nominations from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Francis Ford Coppola's "Godfather" sequel was nominated for best dramatic motion picture; best screenplay, written by Coppola and Mario Puzo; original score and original song, and drew recognition for star Al Pacino, co-star Andy Garcia and director Coppola. The western "Dances With Wolves" collected the second most nominations -- six, including Kevin Costner for best actor and best director and best dramatic film.

"GoodFellas," Martin Scorsese's violent account of Mafia loyalty and betrayal, drew five nominations, including best dramatic motion picture and best director for Scorsese.
