Stephen Gajda, 100, of Liberty Street died Tuesday (Dec. 25, 1990) in Veterans Hospital, Batavia.

A native of Poland, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I.

He worked for 50 years as a loom setter at Globe Belting and Weaving Co. in Buffalo. He moved to Perry 30 years ago and was a member of McKelton Post, American Legion, and St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

His wife, Laura Sknoecki Gajda, died in 1979.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Lloyd Fassett of Binghamton; a daughter, Dr. Marilyn Flavin of Williamsville; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Stanislaus Church, 75 Water St. Prayers will be said at 9:30 in the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, Lake Street. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
