A Mass of Christian Burial for Joan Tierney, a registered nurse, will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, West Avenue and Eagle Street.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 in the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Tierney, 61, died Sunday (Dec. 23, 1990) in her Medina home.
She was born in Kingston and graduated from Kingston High School. She received her nurse's training at Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital in New York City.
A Medina resident since 1954, she worked for the Orchard Manor Nursing Home since 1984.
Mrs. Tierney was a member of St. Mary's Church.
Survivors include her husband, William F.; five sons, Timothy of Albion, James of Orlando, Fla., Michael of McLean, Va., John of Jupiter, Fla., and William F. Jr.; five daughters, Sheila and Kathleen, both of West Palm Beach, Fla., Maureen Burtz of Port St. Lucy, Fla., Mary Ann Jablonski and Amy; her mother, Charlotte Byrne of Kingston; three sisters, Ellen Roach of San Clemente, Calif., Karen Anderson of South Lake, Texas, and Kathleen Kaprich of Waco, Texas, and five grandchildren.
