The former president of Worlds of Wonder, a California-based toy company, has been named executive vice president of a Williamsville-based holding company.
Joshua Denham will oversee expansion efforts for several toy businesses owned by the Sheridan Companies. He will help create a new manufacturing network for the Manhattan Toy Co., WOW and Lewco, said Franklyn S. Barry Jr., chairman of Sheridan and WOW.
The toy companies currently rely on offshore plants in China and other Pacific Rim nations for manufacturing. Worlds of Wonder became famous for Teddy Ruxpin and Lewco is known for its Sesame Street musical toys.
Keith E. Schaefer, former senior vice president with NEC Technologies Inc., will become WOW's new president.
