Mary Louise Burzinski, a Buffalo teacher for 29 years, died Friday (Dec. 21, 1990) following a long illness. She was 51.
A resident of the Town of Tonawanda, she was born in Buffalo. She graduated from East High School in 1956 and D'Youville College in 1960.
As a youngster, she was active with the Buffalo Museum of Science. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
She taught at School 48 early in her career before being assigned to School 77, where she taught first grade.
She was a member of the Buffalo Retired Teachers Association and the National Education Association.
She is survived by a son, Walter J. Burzinski; her mother, Constance M. Lukaszewicz, and a brother, James Rybarczyk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:45 a.m. Monday in the Shrine of St. John Neumann at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1085 Englewood Ave., Town of Tonawanda, following prayers at 9:15 in the C. Mertz & Son Funeral Home, 911 Englewood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.
