Local U. S. Army reservists serving with the 365th Evacuation Hospital will be home for the holidays.

Members of the unit, training at Aberdeen Proving Grounds since their call to active duty Nov. 21 for Operation Desert Shield, are due for three-day passes today. After Christmas, unit members will report back to the Maryland base.

The 365th includes medical professionals from Veterans Hospital, Buffalo General Hospital and other Buffalo facilities. Army Reserve spokesmen had no official word on whether the unit eventually will travel overseas or be sent to a stateside base as a replacement medical unit.
