RAMON C. CHAYA, OWNER OF PAINT COMPANY

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ramon C. Chaya, 68, co-owner of the Batavia Paint and Wallpaper Co., will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Church, 15 Sumner St. Prayers will be said at 9:30 in the H.E. Turner and Co. Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St., and burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Chaya died Thursday (Dec. 20, 1990) in the Batavia VA Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

He was a former secretary of the Genesee County Democratic Committee, a member of Sacred Heart Church and its Holy Name Society, the Polish National Alliance, St. Nicholas Club and Loyal Order of Moose.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Gentner Chaya; a son, Ramon Jr.; a daughter, Gail Hink; two brothers, Joseph of Clarence and Walter; three sisters, Kathryn Siwicki of Rochester and Nellie Bridge and Gladys Balbick; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
