FALLS MAN INDICTED ON CHARGES STEMMING FROM SLAYING OF BOXER

A Niagara Falls man was indicted Friday on murder and weapons charges in the Sept. 29 slaying of a Buffalo drug dealer in Niagara Falls.

James Moore Jr., 19, of 1113 Niagara Ave., pleaded innocent to two counts of murder and single counts of criminal possession and use of a weapon in the shooting death of Jason L. Ivey, 26, a former Golden Gloves boxing champion. Niagara County Judge Charles L. Hannigan Jr. ordered Moore held without bail.

Police said three New York City drug dealers paid Moore $700 to kill Ivey who had cheated one of them on a drug deal. They have not been charged.
