RIPLEY MAN DRIVES HOME AFTER SHOOTING SELF

A 20-year-old Ripley man was in fair condition today in an Erie, Pa., hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the chest Sunday evening.

Kevin Kelley, 20, of East Side Hill Road, was climbing over a fence when his weapon discharged, sending a .22-caliber bullet into his chest, Chautauqua County sheriff's officers reported.

Kelley drove himself home, and his mother took him to Westfield Memorial Hospital. He was later flown by Lifestar helicopter to St. Vincent's Health Center.
