Town tax bills for 1991 will show a slight increase from this year, according to Supervisor John Kroening.
Kroening said the town's $2,157,657 spending plan is $157,750 more than this year's budget, and calls for a 10-cent increase in the tax rate for the highway fund.
He said increased costs for materials were responsible for that increase.
A 5 percent wage increase for town employees is also included in the budget.
Kroening said extra money also has been budgeted for waste disposal. Each homeowner will pay a flat fee of $159.70, up $16.33 from this year.
Kroening said the town will raise $878,379 through property taxes, an increase of $90,180.
A tax rate of $2.92 per $1,000 of assessed valuation is based on the following services:
Highway, 49.8 cents; drainage, 16.7 cents; fire, 95.9 cents, and water, $1.30. Kroening said residents whose homes are connected to town sewer lines will pay a sewer tax rate of 85 cents.
