Even though it costs Colden $2,459 per lane mile to plow snow, the Colden Town Board Thursday accepted the county's offer of $1,300 for the 1990-91 season. The town plows 7.64 miles of county roads.

The board was told that Knapp Road is now open. A culvert that collapsed last fall during a torrential rainfall has finally been replaced.

Councilman Philip Schueler reported 312 people delivered 391 loads of trash during the October collection at the highway garage. The cost of both the spring and fall collections totaled $14,490, $3,500 less than the $18,000 budgeted
this year.

Two residents complained, saying they wanted curbside pickup. Supervisor Marilynn Calhoun said the town is trying to provide the service in the most economical way.

A year-end meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Dec. 22 in Town Hall, and the annual reorganizational meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 8.
