NET PROCEEDS of a concert by the award-winning American Legion Band of the Tonawandas' Post 264 at 8 tonight in Kleinhans Music Hall will be given to the 87 players of the Buffalo Philharmonic. The band, under the direction of William Weikert, has won the American Legion's coveted Senior Band National Championship the past four years.
Music for the benefit concert will include Dixieland, marches by Sousa and works by Andrew Lloyd Webber, George M. Cohan, Richard Wagner, Antonin Dvorak and Leonard Bernstein. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for students and senior citizens and can be bought at all Buffalo-area Citibank offices, Ticketron, from Philharmonic members and band members of Post 264. Special guest artist will be Maryalice Demler of North Tonawanda, Miss New York State, 1990. . . .
