FORTUNE'S CRUEL CUT FOR BUTCHER

Butcher Trevor Cunningham got into the finals of Ireland's national lottery only to be told he must pay off his debts from the winnings.

He stands to win up to $425,000 in the televised "spin-the-wheel" contest, in which every finalist gets a prize.

If he gets only the low prize of $3,400, most of it will go to a refrigeration firm to which he owes money, a court decided.
