Funeral services for Edith R. Schneckenburger, 82, former director of undergraduate studies at the University at Buffalo, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery.
Mrs. Schneckenburger died Wednesday (Dec. 5, 1990) in St. Francis Hospital. She was a resident of St. Luke's Presbyterian Home on Delaware Avenue.
A native of Warsaw, she was a 1928 graduate of Warsaw High School. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from Syracuse University and a doctorate in 1940 from the University of Michigan.
Mrs. Schneckenburger taught at Eastern Michigan University from 1941 to 1947. She returned to Buffalo in 1947 and taught math at UB, where she was director of undergraduate studies from 1972 to 1976.
She was a member of North Gainesville United Methodist Church and Westminster Presbyterian Church in Buffalo.
She was honored by Who's Who of American Women and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Mu Epsilon and Phi Lambda Theta.
