Buffalo police questioned a 14-year-old Black Rock boy again Friday night as they continued to investigate his report that he was thrown naked into the Niagara River on Thursday after resisting a man who abducted him on Elmwood Avenue, then tried to sodomize him.

Police said they have several questions about the boy's story, but he is sticking to it.

"He told us that he held onto a pipe until the man left and then climbed out of the water," one detective said, "but we can't come up with an answer why his hair didn't get wet."

Lt. Paul Reinig, chief of the Sex Offense Squad, said police are trying to find possible witnesses who could corroborate the story.

Erie County District Attorney Kevin M. Dillon said he assigned a prosecutor to the case, but he declined further comment.
