A Mass of Christian Burial for Angelo A. Di Martino of Amherst, a public accountant for 33 years, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 5480 Main St., Williamsville, following prayers at 9:30 in the Amigone Funeral Home, 5200 Sheridan Drive, Amherst. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Di Martino, 70, died Thursday (Dec. 6, 1990) in Amherst after a lengthy illness.
Born in Farnham, he graduated from Hurst Business School in 1941 and later attended the University of Buffalo, where he majored in accounting. During World War II he was chief of accounting at the Harlingen Army Gunnery School.
In 1957, he started his own accounting business, specializing in auditing, financial reporting and tax preparation. He was active in the firm until his death.
Di Martino was a past president of the Holy Name Society of Holy Cross Church and was active in the annual Catholic Charities appeal and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
His hobby was growing roses, and he received many awards over the years for his exhibits. He was a past president of the Amherst and Niagara Frontier rose societies, and a life member of the American Rose Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolann Hatala of Holiday, Fla.; a son, Michael L. of Williamsville and a sister, Connie Smith of Angola.
