AMHERST, ISLE SEWER PLANTS TO GET LOW-INTEREST LOANS

Sewage treatment plants in Amherst and Grand Island will receive low-interest loans from the state, Gov. Cuomo
announced Thursday.

The State Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund program will finance a $5.5 million loan to the Town of Amherst to improve the odor control and sludge handling at the town's sewage treatment plant.

A $1.3 million will also be given to Grand Island for various plant improvements.

They were among seven loans approved by the state's revolving fund.
