Three Buffalo men face federal drug charges in connection with the recovery last week of $108,000 cash and 100 pounds of marijuana in a West Seneca mall parking lot.
U.S. Attorney Dennis C. Vacco said today a federal grand jury indicted Mark T. Bruckman, 30, of Harding Road; Michael P. Lawler, 31, of Houghton Street; and Jeffrey K. Filipski, 34, also of Houghton Street. The three were charged with conspiracy and attempted possession of a controlled substance.
The marijuana and cash were recovered Friday by investigators from a Drug Enforcement Administration task force and the Genesee County Sheriff's Department, authorities said.
Richard Inscore, special agent in charge of the Buffalo DEA office, said the indictments followed a two-month investigation into a drug ring operating in the Buffalo area and Genesee County. He said the recoveries of drugs and cash were made during a pre-arranged meeting between the suspects and an undercover agent at the Seneca Mall.
