MUSEUM BEGINS WINTER HOURS

The Buffalo Museum of Science has switched to winter hours and scheduled a free day Monday.

The Humboldt Parkway museum will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday viewing of the night sky will be discontinued until March. Visitors will be admitted without charge Dec. 10 to view the current exhibits, "Viva La Americas!" and "The Modern Veterinarian," and other museum features.

An exhibit of nature photography by members of the museum camera club has opened at Tifft Nature Preserve on Fuhrmann Boulevard. The display in the Makowski Visitor Center includes works of Charles Bartolotta, Jim Davis, Ruth Heintz, Charles Jamieson, Ted Jasiski, Emanual LoPresto and Ignatius Tumino.

The center is open daily except Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
