Albert A. Amendola, 79, of 82nd Street died Tuesday (Dec. 4, 1990) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Amendola, a Niagara Falls native, retired as a construction superintendent in 1976 from Walter S. Johnson Construction Co.
He began his career there before World War II. During the war, he served as a chief petty officer in the Navy Seabees and was present for the attack on Pearl Harbor.
He was a member of Local 130, Operators, Plasterers and Cement Masons, and Prince of Peace Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife, the former Alice Bateman; two brothers, George of Deland, Fla., and Augustus, and a sister, Florence Bonanni of Flint, Mich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, with prayers at 9 in the Otto Redanz Funeral Home, 2215 Military Road. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
