Janette B. Atkinson will show slides of her doll collection in a program, "A Journey Into Fantasy," after a luncheon for Amherst Book Club Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in Amherst Community Church. Past presidents will be honored at a punch party preceding luncheon. Evelyn Powers and Geraldine Stosser are chairwomen. Elaine Weinreber, accompanied by pianist Melba Seibold, will lead singing.

Church Women United of Buffalo and Erie County will have its annual Advent celebration Friday in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church marking the beginning of the organization's Year of Jubilee. Shirley Chan, pastor of East Aurora Christian Church, will narrate a panel discussion by Sister Kathleen Uhler of Center for Justice and Almut Nothnagle, a German studying in this country. Sing 'n' Strings will perform. Roberta Grimm is chairwoman. Past presidents will be honored.

The Guild-Auxiliary of Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church will elect officers and plan the coming year's activities at a Christmas luncheon at noon Friday in Park Lane Restaurant. Marjorie Flinchbaugh is chairwoman and Josephine Hunt is taking reservations.

D. Ward Fuller, co-chairman of First Night Buffalo, will be the speaker at a luncheon for the Graduates Association of the Buffalo Seminary at noon Friday in West-Chester Hall. June Seufert Walker will be hostess.

Alumnae Association of Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart will have a Christmas party Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the academy, starting with a Mass in the school chapel. The Rev. A. Mark Illig of St. Benedict Catholic Church will be the celebrant.

A reception will follow in the school library. Sharon M. Banyi and Patricia A. Matisz are in charge of arrangements.

Sing 'n' Strings will entertain with Christmas music at a luncheon of Central Park Mothers Club Friday in Central Park United Methodist Church. Peggy Lyness, president, will be hostess at a punch party preceding the luncheon and there will be a mini bazaar of handmade items. Joann Wagner is bazaar chairwoman and Alice Ames has charge of the luncheon.

Grace M. Smith will be hostess at the annual Christmas party of Golden Rule Rebekah Lodge 141, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Friday at 8 p.m. in Epiphany United Church of Christ.

Niagara Frontier Craftsmen will sponsor a Victorian Christmas Arts and Crafts Show Friday from noon to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Antique World's Exposition Center, Clarence.

Inner Harbor Yacht Club will have its annual Christmas party Saturday in the clubhouse at 8 p.m.

Trophies will be awarded for competitive events during the past season by Fleet Capt. David Lipp. Non-perishable food for the needy will be donated.
