Violence in the Daily News strike continued as a pipe bomb was found near the paper's Brooklyn plant and a striker was charged with assaulting a News hawker.
No problems were reported, however, in subway stations this morning, where hawkers were permitted to sell the Daily News under court order.
An undetonated, 6-inch pipe bomb was found Sunday on a ramp leading to a truck parking area at the News' Brooklyn printing plant. Nearby were two unexploded, M-80 firecrackers taped to boxes of nails. The newspaper said 200 strikers threw cherry bombs and M-80 firecrackers.
