Someone stole two flags from the front lawn of Vietnam veteran Ralph Sirianni overnight Friday, Sirianni said Saturday.
It was the second time in about a year that thieves removed a flag from the pole in front of Sirianni's house on Ashford Avenue in the Town of Tonawanda. Sirianni, an artist who has designed several Vietnam and Korean War monuments in the area, said he received the flag and pole as a gift from other veterans about three years ago.
The flag and a Christmas flag flying below it were illuminated with a bright yard light, he said.
Sirianni estimated the loss at more than $70.
