A Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth C. Higner of Kenmore, former chairwoman of the Business Education Department at Cardinal O'Hara High School, will be held at 10:15 a.m. Monday in St. Paul's Catholic Church, 33 Victoria Blvd., Kenmore.
A service will be held at 10 in the Rolling-Dengler Funeral Home, 3000 Delaware Ave. at Tremont. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
The former Elizabeth C. Wiehl died Friday (Nov. 30, 1990) in Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 71.
She was a graduate of D'Youville College and a member of its alumni association.
Mrs. Higner was a business teacher at Cardinal O'Hara High School from 1961 to 1981 and was former chairwoman of its Business Education Department. She was a member of the National Catholic Business Education Council and the Bishop's Lay Advisory Council on Education.
She was vice president of Ken-Sheraton Garden Club and was a member of the Inner Harbour Yacht Club, where she was a past president of its ladies' auxiliary.
She was the widow of Nicholas M. Higner.
Survivors include a son, David N. of Niagara Falls; a sister, Geraldine Ellithorn of California, and four grandchildren.
