Radio stations WJYE-FM and WECK-AM are being sold by Williams Broadcasting Corp. to Ralph C. Guild, a minority stockholder in the Williams firm.

Williams Broadcasting, headed by Robert Williams, purchased the stations last year.

Guild, who heads a Manhattan advertising sales agency representing radio stations, also owns stations in Winston-Salem, N.C.; Charleston, S.C., and Fresno, Calif. His Guild Radio Co. will be the sole general partner of EBE Communications Limited Partnership, which will acquire the two Buffalo-area stations.

Williams' son, Rob Williams, will become general manager of the two stations, said Joe Chille, program and operations manager of WJYE and WECK.

Since acquiring WECK from local ownership, Williams Broadcasting instituted satellite-fed programming and moved all but technical personnel from WECK offices at 2900 Genesee St., Cheektowaga, to joint offices with WJYE in the Rand Building.

WJYE was rated first and WECK is ranked 10th in the latest Arbitron ratings.
