STATE PROGRAM GETS FUNDING FOR NUTRITION

New York State has been allocated another $1,033,117 by the Food and Nutrition Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture for its (WIC) Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children.

The money, on top of the $161 million already allotted to New York, will buy 25,700 additional food packages, according to the Food and Nutrition Service.
