PEOPLE OF LACKAWANNA NEED PUBLIC ACCESS ALSO

Isn't it ironic that the people of Lackawanna, who have suffered the most from pollution, should now be last in consideration by the Horizons Waterfront Commission as to access and environmental concerns?

All your articles present such a glowing picture for all waterfront areas except Lackawanna. Are we to be the new scapegoats for industries that will pollute and create more environmental problems in the years to come? Why should a tire-burning plant be more acceptable than a truck station? Who else in the country would be willing to accept mountains of tires and coke ovens on their waterfront?

Wake up people of Lackawanna! We have had enough of our share of dirty businesses. Make yourself heard and make your representatives listen to your opinions for a prosperous and proud city. Attend your Council meeting and make your votes count.
