Homes in the Buffalo area for three French exchange students are desperately needed for a 25-day stay that begins Sunday, coordinators for NACEL Cultural Exchanges said Friday.
The shortage is due to the fact that coordinators in Delaware could not round up enough host families. The three, who are between the ages of 16 and 17, are covered with medical and liability insurance and bring their own spending money.
They basically need room and board.
"Our philosophy is that a family would include one of the kids in their daily routine," said Alice Murphy, New York State coordinator for NACEL.
"They're coming to practice their English and experience the American family culture."
Buffalo families interested in keeping one of the three youngsters should call Mrs. Murphy at 800-451-0503.
