Arsenio Hall and The Simpsons have moved to Channel 29. The two programs are among several formerly aired by Channel 49 that have been moved 20 notches down the television channel dial. The change is a result of the purchase of Channel 29 and the programming of Channel 49 by Act III Broadcasting of Atlanta from Citadel Communications Co. The transaction became official Thursday.
Channel 49, which has been airing programs from Fox, now will broadcast religious programming, under its new owner, Tri-State Christian Broadcasting.
Also moving to Channel 29 will be Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bisons games. Seymour H. Knox III, principal owner of the Sabres, has been named to the ACT III board, which is chaired by long-time television producer Norman Lear.
