Retired industrial worker Matthew L. Nowak, 73, of 22nd Street died Thursday (June 28, 1990) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
A native of Niagara Falls, he retired in 1979 from the Nitec Corp. He worked 32 years for Nitec and its predecessor, Kimberly-Clark Corp.
Nowak was a member of Niagara Falls Camp 211, Woodmen of the World, and held a number of state and national posts in the organization. He also was a member of Niagara Falls Council 247, Knights of Columbus, and the Holy Name Society of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Catherine Dos; a daughter, Patricia A., and two brothers, Felix of Phoenix, Ariz., and Sigmund.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Church, 1419 Falls St., after prayers at 9 in the Tubinis Funeral Home, 1646 Falls St. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
