The fourth annual Buffalo Dance Festival will be held at 8 tonight, Friday and Saturday in Buffalo State College's Rockwell Hall Auditorium. The poerformanc es will feature 17 pieces presented by area choreographers and dancers.
Premiering at the festival are "Street" performed by the Festival Ballet Ensemble (choreographed by Keith Carcich); "Mistaken Identity" choreograpged by Emily Kaye; "In the Eye of the Storm," choroegraphed by William E. Thomas; "Algerian Dance Suite," performed by the Liliana Mosaic Dancers and choreo- graphed by Liliana Dixon and "Odundea/Lambaa," performed by the African-American Dance & Drum Performance Troupe and choreographed by Ronnie Latham.
Other performers are the Inner City Ballet, the Maelstrom Music and Dance EDnsemble, the Floorplay Dance Theater, the Eclectic Dance Works, the Nichols Dance Ensemble and Pick of the Crop.
CEPA Gallery presents Native Ameican performance artists Rebecca Belmore and Thom E. Hawk at 8 p.m. Friday at Theater-Loft, 545 Elmwood Ave.
The touring outdoor Ghost Light Theater Company of North Tonawanda presents "Tales from Hans Christian Andersen" directed by Debby Kozelak at 2 p.m. at the following locations in North Tonawanda: Monday at Payne Park, Tuesday at Wurlitzer Park and next Thursday at Grant Park.
