SUMMER CONCERT SERIES UNDER WAY IN ANGOLA

The Angola Park and Gazebo Committee launched its 1990 Summer Lawn Chair Concert Series Wednesday evening from the Gazebo of Centennial Park.

The debut performance was by the Boomers, who performed "golden oldies."

Nine of 10 remaining concerts will be presented at 7 p.m. Wednesdays in Centennial Park. The exception will be a Saturday concert July 14, when the Quaker Tones will perform music from the '30s, '40s and '50s as part of the Chamber of Commerce Commerce Village Fest.

If it rains, the concerts will be in the John T. Waugh Intermediate School, 100 High St. However, the rain location for the July 11 concert of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra is the Lake Shore Middle School, 8855 Erie Road.
