SCOTT AVIATION WINS $11 MILLION CONTRACT

Scott Aviation has been given an $11 million contract to provide crew and passenger oxygen equipment on the new McDonald Douglas MD-11 civilian aircraft.

The plane, built to carry 400 passengers, is undergoing flight testing before going into airline service late this year. More than 300 have been ordered by major airlines, including American, Japan and Alitalia.

Scott Aviation, located in Lancaster, has supplied McDonald Douglas with aviation oxygen systems since the 1940s.
