The North Tonawanda Public Library has raised fines for overdue adult books and other materials to 10 cents a day and children's books, tapes and records to 5 cents, effective with loans after Sunday.
The maximum fine for adults will be $5 and for children $2.50, library Director Daniel R. Killian said.
The fine for overdue videotapes remains $3 day.
The Library board of trustees left the four-week loan period untouched. The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library recently shortened its loan period to three weeks.
