POLICE INVESTIGATE STREET SHOOTING OF MAN WHO WAS LED BOUND FROM CAR

A man was taken from a car at Humboldt Parkway near Kensington Avenue early this afternoon with his hands bound, led to the middle of the street and shot, witnesses said.

Homicide investigators were at the scene, and few details were available.

The victim, who was listed in critical condition in surgery at Sisters Hospital, was identified as Muhammad Dowley, 58, said Sisters spokesman Dennis McCarthy. Dowley's address was not available.

Reports from the scene indicated that a man either handcuffed or with his hands tied was led from a red car in front of a small store, Shaibi's Delicatessen, and shot twice.
