KEN-TON MEETING DELAYED ON LINDBERGH SCHOOL ARSON

A special meeting of the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Board of Education that was to have been held today to discuss fire damage at Charles Lindbergh Elementary School has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Ken-Ton Community Relations Director Karen Merkel said Wednesday that the fire Saturday at the school at Crosby Avenue and Irving Terrace has been ruled arson. Damage has been estimated at more than $100,000.

Three classrooms were directly involved in the fire, Mrs. Merkel said. Several other rooms also sustained smoke and water damage. Also, several rooms, including the gymnasium, were apparently vandalized.
