The former president of Wedtech Corp. was indicted Tuesday for lying about his gambling activities while testifying as a government witness against a consultant to the now-defunct defense contractor.

Anthony Guariglia was charged with contempt, perjury and the making of false statements to federal officials.

Federal prosecutors alleged that Guariglia committed perjury last year at the trial of E. Robert Wallach, a long-time friend of former Attorney General Edwin Meese.
