Two Grand Island children were slightly injured by cars Tuesday in separate accidents when the youngsters ran into the street.
Both Megan Fitzgibbon, 2, and Robert Meyer, 11, were taken to Children's Hospital, where they were treated and released.
Megan was injured shortly before 4 p.m. when she darted from her yard on Baseline Road into the side of a car driven by a City of Tonawanda man. He was not charged.
Less than three hours later, Robert was struck by a car driven by James Braun, 37, of Hertel Avenue when he tried to run across Bedell Road, a half-mile from his Sheree Drive home.
Braun was charged with operating a vehicle while his driver's license was suspended.
