An estimated 1,000 marchers are expected to participate in the 17th annual parade sponsored by the West Seneca Civic and Patriotic Commission.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Main and Seneca streets and proceed up Main to Union Road and to Centennial Park behind Town Hall.

A total of 71 units, including 14 bands, 13 fire companies, at least 40 antique cars and six floats will participate, parade marshal Robert Smith said.

The parade is in conjunction with the annual Community Days, which begin at 6 p.m. Friday in Centennial Park. Hours Saturday are noon to midnight with a fireworks display at dusk.
